Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The rules are simple: try to build a row of four checkers while keeping your opponent from doing the same. Sounds easy, but it's not! The vertical strategy creates a unique challenge: you must think in a whole new way to block your opponent's moves! For 2 players. Game includes: grid, two end supports, 21 black checkers and 21 red checkers.

Editorial Review
Connect Four is like vertical tic-tac-toe. Unlike tic-tac-toe, however (as the name suggests), you must get four checkers in a row. One player has red checkers; the other has black checkers. To play, alternate turns at dropping one of checkers down a slot at the top of the upright grid. The first player to get four checkers lined up in a row in any direction--horizontal, vertical, or diagonal--wins the game. --Alison Golder

5 out of 5 stars FUN!   December 30, 2009
T. Smith (MTZ, IL United States)
Did not realize there is so many versions of Connect4. We have fun playing this and thinking for little ones is good. We have the 6+ version for our daughter...and so far pleased and having fun with it.
Great Gift Idea!

4 out of 5 stars LOTS of fun, but doesn't hold together well   November 26, 2009

This is such a fun, wonderful game, one of our favorites for family game night. It's helped teach my son (just turned three) about matching colors, waiting for his turn, etc. I love that it's a fun game that does not require batteries or drive us all crazy with overwhelming music/sounds like some kids games do. My only complaint is that the "legs" that hold the frame up do not tend to stay on. If someone bumps it, it will occasionally fall over and come apart during a game, which is frustrating. It seems like the pegs that hold the legs on were not all that well made. Stil a great game though!

2 out of 5 stars Way over priced for such cheap build quality.   September 22, 2009

This game is a fun and quick game for two, but I would only value this game at less than $10. The construction is too cheap and flimsy. The two supporting (blue) sides have holes to slide and attach to plastic tabs on the yellow game board. The tabs break easily and then the game is no longer usable. It would also be good to have extra game pieces included as some may be lost. To replace mine which had lost several game pieces and now has broken tabs, I am looking for a cheaper alternative or, even better, one that is built better.

5 out of 5 stars One on one fun   April 2, 2009

Simple but fun game. You get four of your colored discs in a row before your opponent and you win.
Bought it for my 7yr old grandson who definitely enjoys beating his dad.
Also, although there are the discs, cleanup is easy and fast.
Thank you.
