Editorial Review Straight from the Las Vegas casinos comes this electronic handheld version of the Monopoly Jackpot slot machine. Spin the reels, match up the symbols, and win big--at least in game money. If players bet the max and get the right combination, they roll to move around the game board, racking up more credits. The one-player game will keep score continuously until reset or "new game" is selected. Sound can be turned off (which is nice since it quickly gets annoying). If not in use for more than a minute, the game goes to sleep to conserve the two AA batteries (included). --Pam Lauer

Good adult time-passer while you wait on Dad's train, tho not the best game to adapt for unilateral play. It fails miserably as Hasbro touts it as prep for a trip to Vegas, but as a familiar "hop around the board" & try for profitable "Free Parking" while collecting dollars, it's ok. One person play however, means few payouts, & taxes end the round. Never getting "hit" for landing on someone's property, racks up $$$'s fast, with a few fun "timing picks the return" as U press "go" from a utility, or chance, & a progressive reward for passing "Go." Cud be a 2-or more-person competitive only with each person playing alone, then comparing amounts won. Since geared for adults, I feel a larger possible wager than the possible $1-$4 allowed per "roll," cud make for more excitement. A little large & too big for a pocket, a camera-case sized bag would be required, tho a good toss in the beach bag, since screen is clearly visible in all but the strongest sun glare. A strong "3-1/2-star" rating
Great game of the casino game August 9, 2001 7772001 (San Jose, CA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this Monopoly game because they are in the casinos in Las Vegas. So instead of playing with money I thought I would buy the handheld version of it. It is good though the real sounds of the ding ding ding and many other various sound effects. My favorite part is where you go along the board collecting points. but all you do in the game is collect points and keep collecting until it gets boring. Sometimes it does get boring just losing but when you do win it is exiting. I would say this game is great.
Wasteful shadow of the glorious original July 26, 2001 Bryan Jensen (Utah, USA) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
Being an avid fan of the Monopoly boardgame, I am a bit biased. This toy neither teaches strategy nor probability/money relationships nor group play nor bartering nor anything for which the real game can be admired. This is brainless casino fun with a Monopoly theme. Our 5-year-old son whiled away hours on a tiresome road trip. He had fun. The sound effects are nice and the graphics are very good for a handheld electronic game at this price. And it's nice that the sound can be turned off--the "slots" portion of the game where one spend the most time gets old quickly. We compromised and let him turn on the sound for the Monopoly bonus rounds, because those effects are more fun--and rare.We don't like that there is no objective. One simply amounts as much money as one wants until one gets bored--or someone else wants to play--and starts the game over. There is no rhyme nor reason to what one has to spin to get into the Monopoly-board-game-esque bonus round. This game has NO strategy. Just spin and watch. It reminds me of the ... thousands of slot-machine addicts one sees when one strolls through any casino. But this is a fun time-waster nonetheless. ....
Monopoly's Jackpot electric game July 14, 2001 Timothy J. Bates (Naselle, Washington USA) Very excellent, while I was travel in car on way to Montana from Washington and on way back on Washington. Over 74,000 credits I made! and it's fun! I love that to keep me attention in well.

This is fantastic! If you love the Casino version of Monopoly like in Atlantic City...This Is It! A hand held version of the best slot game!It has voice and sound effects of the Casino game. One wish is that it played the little "M-O-N-O-P-O-Y....MONOPOLY" song ...but this is the best you can get to the actual game and It's FUN! I couldn't beleive that this game exsisted.A must buy for all Fans of the game. You won't be disapointed.
