Product Description Rock & Roll is here to stay until Tom Dooley is iced over his hot grill. Everyone's a suspect when murder is on the menu. Just invite 6 to 8 of your friends to dress up and play the roles of the devious suspects, serve up a meal or light snack, and you're ready for some drop dead fun! Comes with a complete party planner, invitations, costume and menu suggestions, clues and more! Mystery dinner party game for 6 to 8 players.
Editorial Review Could it be Ivan Spudnik, the Russian rocket scientist, or maybe Chubby Cheddar, the hit rock 'n' roll musician with a secret? Somebody put a barbecue fork through car dealer Tom Dooley, and that somebody is at your dinner party. Bepuzzled's popular Murder à La Carte series makes your home the scene of the crime with a complete 1950's murder mystery that places your guests as the chief suspects. Only one of them knows for sure who put the fork in Dooley. Six to eight friends play roles from a sexy divorceé to greaser Johnny Angel, with plenty of scripts and suggestions on how to ham it up. The set includes an audiotape guide, background booklets for each player, special clues (including mysterious checks and blackmail letters), and anything else you need for an evening of unpredictable fun. There are even party invitations and tasty recipes. --Paul Hughes

We had a blast! July 11, 2010 Karen M Marks (Amherst, NY, US) My husband and I hosted 3 couples and had so much fun playing this game! We all made an effort at dressing the part, although no one followed the costume suggestions to the tee - but the effort really paid off. It took us just under 3 hours to complete it, with breaks for checking/serving/cleaning up the food. It was easy to play, easy to follow, and was about as much fun as you made it. Everyone really tried to have fun and play up the characters and everyone laughed and had a great time. We would highly recommend it to anyone interested in a murder mystery game!
Have a Fun Evening! August 1, 2009 M. E. Byrne I purchased this item as a gift, having participated in a different murder mystery earlier. I especially appreciated the reviews of others, and the suggestion that it is really designed for six players, rather than the 8 mentioned. The two extra persons don't really have anything to do. So, enjoy!! Having decorations, attire, and food in keeping with the theme will add a lot to the fun of the evening!!
A twist on the backyard bbq April 4, 2009 JSamuels (NJ) This is the second Murder Mystery Party we've done. (the first was a Mexican Fiesta theme - Burrito Bandito). We had 8 guests and ourselves. As hosts we chose to be the "extras," but it was still great fun. Get a willing group who you know will fully participate - dress the part, act the part. Set the mood and have a fun. Something different then just inviting people over for same barbeque or dinner. It is meant for adults, however, I think older teens could enjoy it.
Fun for the summer August 8, 2008 S. Hanberg (Grants Pass, Or) We ordered this party game for our daughter's 16th birthday. The planning and decorating was fun with great ideas from the game. The teens had a great time figuring out "who dunnit." We threw in some prizes for the kids as well. Bigger prizes went for the best costume and solver of the mystery. But we also handed out coffee stand bucks for who could hula hoop the longest, trivia, and if ANY one could yo-yo at all. Fun night for every one.
slightly under done but delicious June 2, 2008 K. Ray (Portland, OR, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The game could have had some instructions about props needed in the game by partcipants but otherwise an entertaining evening was had by all guests.
