Product Description
Mine is tight. It's hot when I wear mine. I hate shopping for mine. Be clever, be witty, or be outrageous when describing your swimsuit, neighbor, closet, hair, or whatever Guess Word is picked. but, best of all, be creative so you don't reveal the word to the player in the Hot Seat. Get ready for some side-splitting laughs as players answer "What's Yours Like'" For 4 or more players.

5 out of 5 stars My favorite game!   May 24, 2010

OMG i love this game so much! we have a big game night every 2 weeks & our favs were taboo, balderdash, catch phrase & last word but now this is our ultimate favorite. But we added a big rule that i think is a must for this game! In this game every one but the guesser (whoevers turn it is) gets to see the topic, for exacmple lets use underwear. one of the players goes first & says what theres is like so lets say something like mine have strings on the side then the guesser gets to take a guess what he thinks it is. if he doesnt get it the next person says what theres is like. How ever many guesses it takes you before you guess the word is how many points you get & the player with the least amount of points Wins (so you dont want points in this game) it comes with a dry erase board to write what everyone says theres is like so you can go back & think. In the rules there is no certain limit to how many hints you get which can make the game last forever & if you get to 100 hints how the heck are you ever supposed to come back to win!! we changed this & once you get 10 hints if you still cant guess after the 10, then you end up getting the 10 point & its on to the next player. This makes the game a lot more fun because really if you arnt gona get it after 10 then your not gona guess it anyway & it also gives everyone a chance to come back & win in the game making it a lot more fun!! With this simple change this is my very favorite game!! People end up guesing the funniest things.

4 out of 5 stars Fun, but not for people who like to "win".   January 4, 2010

If you have a group that enjoys sitting around laughing this can be a great game.
If you have a group that plays games to "win" this game gets little boring. The problem is, in order to win some people give answers that are way too vague- i.e.(describing your yard for example) "What's yours like?" "Mine's fine." or "Mine's nice." After about five minutes of that nobody's having fun.
If the answer's are trying to be funny ("Mine's smaller that my neighbor's", "the dog poop's on mine" etc) the game is a lot of fun.

2 out of 5 stars D!!!   December 28, 2009

I received this game as a gift for the holidays, probably with the hopes that it could match the ha's brought by games we've played before, such as Apples to Apples, Pictionary, and the like. The premise is fairly simple: For every round of play there is one guesser, and he has to try to guess whatever is on the card (shown to all other players not guessing) by asking them individually "What's yours like?", then the guesser tries to put the hints together and figure out what's on the card. The more people you have to ask, the more points you get, and it's scored like golf, so the lowest score wins.

Now, here's where it starts going downhill. Since everyone is inherently trying to win, but not take the game too seriously, a middle ground between making your clues too apparent or too vague is what people should be going for. However, the middle ground is often never reached, you will find yourself taking usually either two to three guesses, or ten plus guesses, and there is no time limit or a maximum amount of guesses before you move on, so you're stuck with that word and that person until they guess it.

The cards themselves are a bit out of whack as well. While they range from good ones you'd expect such as 'underwear' or 'favorite superhero', all too many cards are boring, uninteresting and downright not fun to try to guess. Some cards I even found myself wanting to give the juiciest hint I could or even just tell them what it was to save them and everyone at the table more time wasted watching someone struggle on a particularly weirdly worded card.

This game is not terrible if you play it with tweaked rules and cards (by the end, if we thought a card was too hard to guess, we'd just pull a new one and we instated a maximum guess limit to help with the sluggish pace), but there are DEFINITELY better games out there. Stick with the classics.
